The personna of painter Charles Hessemer doesn’t suggest a painter, a writer, a graphic designer, or a photographer, But, professionally, his reputation precedes him as a rennaissance man. He shows no ego, just determination to exceed in all aspects of his life. To become famous and rich is not his calling, as he has shown little effort to market his work in order to get there. While he has been successful enough to meet his needs, having had permanent galleries in Chicago, Santa Fe, Dallas, and Lahaina Village in Maui, and with devoted collectors, he cares most about carving his very own niche in art history. And, while his gallery sales are in the hundreds over his 55 years of quiet devotion to his work, being included in art history is his primary interest. To make Hessemer’s available to everyone to enjoy, and for recognition... finally. |

He believes we all do what we were born to do, although sometimes we might wish otherwise. “People say how they wished they could have one of my many talents, but they have no idea what it’s like to listen to a voice in your head making you feel guilty for not working hard enough. There are only so many minutes in a life, just how many is anybody’s best guess. If you are one of us, the right brainers, you feel a restless need to reach the limits of the gifts you have been charged with |
